Porosity of refractory materials: The percentage of the total volume occupied by the pores in refractory materials. The size of the porosity is closely related to temperature and pressure. As the temperature increases and the pressure increases, the porosity also increases. Permeability of refractory materials: Permeability refers to the ability of a material to allow gas to pass through under a pressure difference. For refractory materials, permeability is a characteristic value that represents the difficulty of a certain amount of gas passing through a refractory material product under specific conditions.
