Electric furnace covers generally use high-alumina refractory materials. In the past, electric furnace covers were mostly built with refractory bricks, but now most use high-alumina castables for on-site casting or prefabrication off-site.
An electric furnace is a heating furnace that converts electrical energy within the furnace into heat to heat workpieces.
