Methods to improve the service life of permeable bricks

As a refractory material, permeable bricks play a vital role in the steelmaking process. With increased usage, the wear and tear on these bricks becomes increasingly severe. Therefore, extending the service life of permeable bricks can, to a certain extent, increase steel production. Key methods include asymmetric bottom blowing, replacing the permeable core, controlling the bottom blowing parameters, and maintenance.
透气砖作为耐火材料制品，对于炼钢厂家来说，在钢水精炼过程中发挥着重要的作用，随着使用次数的增多，透气砖的损耗情况越来越严重。所以，提高透气砖的使用寿命在一定程度内可以提高钢铁的产量，主要方法有底吹不对称供气、更换透气芯、控制合理底吹参数及维护等。

在底吹不对称供气方法中，两组透气砖在生产中交替工作。一般来说两组透气砖充分发挥作用，包龄能够大幅度上升，而且钢包不是非常大时透气砖的大流量供气也是没有太大问题的。相比较而言，采用这种方法会增加成本费用，而与取得的提升效果和包龄提高所产生的经济效益相比是不足而论的。
采用分体式透气砖更换透气芯的方法，在透气芯见报警后，将透气砖下面的垫砖打碎，更换新的透气芯，这样的方法可以达到充分使用包内其他耐火材料、提高包龄的目的。
通过控制合理的底吹参数，经常维护，不仅有利于提高包龄，还能保持好冶金效果。在透气砖使用过程中，底吹压力过大时，钢水翻滚会很激烈，与空气接触后，导致钢水二次氧化；压力过小时，吹不动钢水导致底吹失败、影响冶金效果。另外，底吹装置长期疏于维护，可能会有漏气的情况，不仅造成了底吹气体的损失、增加生产成本，甚至还会导致底吹压力过小、影响生产的进程。
